Desert Planet by StellarWind Desert Planet by StellarWind
As the harsh daytime sun sets and the moons begin to rise, the hardy organisms clinging to life on the dunes and rocky outcroppings of a sand-blasted, sparsely-inhabited fringe world awaken into activity. Sessile plant-creatures anchored to the rocks spread out their feeding tendrils whilst a small lizard-like creature, its tail superficially resembling its head as a means to fool would-be predators, regards a techno-organic tunneling construct - part-grown, part-built - with intrigue.

In the distance, a lone Alectan mechanic is hard at work, repairing an old atmospheric processing unit in an isolated outpost. This is hardly one of her usual haunts, but out here, sometimes odd jobs take you to very unusual places…

Ahhh it all looks so nice. All the little details, especially the little spots on the foreground plants--they almost seem to glow. Very cool. :D Also that sky is pretty af.

This makes me think of prog rock album covers from the 1970s and that is by all means a compliment! :D  So much going on and so many little details (especially like the addition of the Alectan mechanic in the background!).  Very lovely work. :3

Funny you say that, I had some of Roger Dean's stuff in mind when I drew the background cliffs and I'm pretty sure he did some of the art for such albums! ^^
Thank you ^^ I had a lot of fun with this one ^^
